I set this deep violet amethyst in blackened sterling silver and soldered it to a circular medallion I filled with leaves and dots of 18 karat gold. The medallion suspends from a gold fill chain that adjusts from 16 to 18 inches. The medallion measures just under 3/4 of an inch in diameter.
